Disease transmission through the environment occurs in several ways. Food, water, air, and the environments of facilities provide pathways for pathogens that may cause outbreaks and affect public health. Not only do illnesses have legal consequences, but also outbreaks are serious assaults on the business OR institution involved affecting the viability of the firm or operation itself. Outbreaks of communicable disease are serious events that place both the public and the operation in a dangerous situation.

Environmental Health Associates identifies disease exposure pathways through the environment so operators can establish sanitary controls. We base our work upon our expert understanding of how to intercept the disease transmission pathway through application of environmental health principles. We provide programs, systems and products to control the spread of hazards and communicable disease via food, environmental surfaces, people, water and air.

Our work is applicable to any industry or institution where disease transmission is a potential problem. We work closely with the food industry, the hospitality industry, institutions, governmental organizations and other food safety related businesses from the farm through to food retail and restaurant operations. We also conduct inspections of water and waste water systems and public pools. Environ Health Associates provides infection control services to health care facilities.

We provide expert testimony and assistance to lawfirms in the arena of food safety and related civil lawsuits.

Microbiological techniques, coupled with scientific hazard analyses often reveal environmentally transmitted disease exposure routes. Clear definitions of these routes and the agents at work allow us to effectively apply proper mitigation techniques, stop outbreaks and/or prevent them. Our broad experience and knowledge in the fields of disease control and prevention allows us to identify the best applications of new and existing technology to control pathogens.

Most importantly, we assist and guide operators of public facilities to prevent disease transmission through the sound application of Environmental Health controls.
